About Me

I have had a diverse and wonderfully interesting life so far, I began in catering, learning customer service in restaurants, balancing plates and clearing tables.
I used this skill to work around the world and have been fortunate enough to see some wonderful places. The digital and social world hadn't evolved then - I traveled alone, and thoroughly enjoyed every second. Some of the experiences I had shaped my character and made me the person I am.
I returned to England and to management, mainly within the restaurant and nightclub sector and a few years later settled down to buy my first house and have my first child.
Then I began designing, manufacturing and selling clothes for taller women - I had a fantastic but expensive learning experience, where I was as green as could be, but had a fulfilling, exciting and profitable eight years. I have been featured in many of the glossy magazines, and in the broadsheets and even invited on TV to talk about being tall.
In 2007 I moved into retail and opened a couple of shops selling funky boys clothing and accessories. I loved the interaction with people on a daily basis, and the buying and selling circle of retail - As the recession dug in its claws, I closed up shop and began a short career in energy - account managing.
At the beginning of 2010 - The year I turned 40, I decided I wanted a change. I have almost completed my foundation qualification in marketing; and have fallen into an exciting and relatively new sector of social media. I love the pace and the way you can improve any experience by the use of social media.
I specialise in working for small business, defining a marketing strategy and then taking on the social media side for them, all for a set affordable monthly fee.
I am also available to undertake extra tasks at a set hourly rate.
Please contact me, if I can be of service to you, or to a business you know.
Thanks
